Samplab has introduced Resynthesizer, a new software synthesizer, for Mac & Windows, that they say combines the simplicity of sampling with the flexibility of synthesis.
Resynthesizer recreates your audio with synthesis, and then gives you control over the sound. You can also create new sounds by blending two samples with a seamless transition.
Pricing and Availability:
Resynthesizer is available now with an intro price of $77.99 (normally $129.99).
Very poor resynthesis.
By the way, 23 harmonics is way too low to get a proper resynthesis. Multiply it by 10 and then we will start to discuss.
And we haven’t touched yet richer content that could be found in some instrument sounds.
Ideally, a good resynthesis would provide the quality of a sample. By keeping the envelopes untouched, one could transpose a sound by changing the frequencies of the harmonics without having the time shifting that sampling generates.
But this product is far from this.
